UWA OPEN DAY 2013- 100th
On Sunday 11th August, the biggest UWA Open Day in a century was held as it marks UWA’s 100 years as a University. The years of history for the university are truly remarkable, don’t you think??
I couldn’t miss out on such an exciting event happening at UWA. ( Previously I worked as a volunteer for the past two Open Days )
Here’s an exclusive event coverage 🙂 First off, here are the happenings around University Hall on that day.
The College saw many visitors around, taking guided tours by our Resident Advisor in the new blocks. There was also a sausage sizzle available for visitors!
Next up, if you walk into UWA, you will be able to see festivities and various happenings all round. Peer below for some photos I took 🙂
All the colleges also took to promoting their college life in this booth as you can see here.
What was really interesting to see was this huge black swan mascot in University!! Talk about creativity.
Every year, I never fail to stop by the mobile farm that has all these cute animals!!
O Day is a time for anyone to find out what UWA has to offer as a University, all the faculties were open for discussions about all the courses offered. Not only residential college tours were given, there were also many hands-on activities, live music, entertainment, and plenty of fun activities for the whole family during O Day.
Overall it was a great turnout for the University’s 100th Birthday!!
I enjoyed the vibrancy and liveliness of UWA on that day 🙂
Look forward to next year’s ODAY 🙂
